RTA-SCAT Services & General Information
GENERAL INFORMATION
South County Area Transit (RTA- SCAT) provides fixed schedule
public transportation in the Five-Cities area, which includes Arroyo
Grande, Grover Beach, Pismo Beach, Shell Beach and Oceano.
For lost articles left on buses, phone (805) 481-7801.
You may board the bus at any established RTA-SCAT bus stop.
Bicycle racks are available on all RTA-SCAT buses. First come, first served.
All RTA-SCAT buses are equipped
with wheelchair lifts to accommodate passengers with disabilities.
The Lopez Lake Shuttle will operate
Wednesday through Saturday from June 18 to August 30, 2008.

DAYS
OF SERVICE
RTA-SCAT operates routes
21, 23 and 24 seven days a week. Operating times differ between routes,
please see route schedules for specific hours of service.
RTA-SCAT does not operate on the following holidays:
Thanksgiving
Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
On
Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day, RTA-SCAT operates according to
the Sunday schedule.

Drivers do not make change. Exact change is required.

5 years of age or younger ride free when traveling with a
regular-fare adult.

RTA-SCAT
Transfer Points
Transfers between South County Area Transit Routes 21 and 24 and
Regional Transit Authority Route 10 can be made at the Pismo Beach Prime Outlets.
Limited connections can be made between all SCAT routes and RTA Route 10 at
Ramona Garden Park in Grover Beach.

Transfers between SCAT routes are free, however only one transfer per paid fare may
be made. Transfers between SCAT and RTA Route 10 require a transfer slip issued by
the driver of the bus FROM which you are transferring
(please alert the driver of your intent to transfer upon boarding).
The transfer slip must be presented to the driver of the bus you are transferring
to along with the $.75 transfer fee.

Routes and Para transit systems in San Luis Obispo County. Available at the
RTA office only (1150 Osos St. #206, San Luis Obispo)

V.I.P. Gold Pass - Unlimited rides for
seniors 80 or older on ALL RTA and RTA-SCAT routes. Must
obtain photo I.D. from RTA. Call 781-4472 for details.

RTA-SCAT RULES FOR A SAFE RIDE
- To ensure a safe and pleasant ride
for all bus riders, please observe the following rules when riding an RTA-SCAT
bus:
- NO smoking, food or drinks in the
bus;
- NO loud music on the bus;
- NO standing or sitting in the step wells or in front of the white line;
- NO animals on the bus (except
service animals);
- DO NOT willfully disturb other
riders;.
- NO items allowed in aisles or
wheelchair spaces. Luggage and carry-on items (including folded
strollers) must be stored behind any forward facing seat. Babies must
be held by an adult;
- Front seats are reserved for seniors
and passengers with disabilities;
- Shirts & shoes must be worn when
traveling on an RTA-SCAT bus.
- Children 5 years of age or younger
ride free when traveling with a regular-fare adult. (Limit one child
per paying adult. Additional children pay regular fare).
- No
smoking, drinking, eating or bare feet is allowed on RTA-SCAT buses.
