RTA-SCAT Profile |
| The South County Area Transit (SCAT ) was formed in 1978 through a
Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) to provide intercity fixed route public transportation service within
the three incorporated cities in the southern portion of San Luis
Obispo County (Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach and Pismo Beach) and
Oceano, which is in the unincorporated portion of San Luis
Obispo County. In 1997, the SCAT Board of Directors, by contract, appointed the San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority (SLORTA) to administer the South County Area Transit's administrative and financial functions. |
